The Beauty Generator, also referred to as "the gigantic lady thing", is only seen in Chapter 2. She is distinctly visible on the Chapter 2 map screen, and several of the levels in this chapter take place on her. In the last level of Chapter 2, Genetic Sorting Machine, she is awoken by the Beauty Product injected into her forehead and is revealed to have enough energy to power the entire world. In World of Goo 2, she has been heavily modified to have satellite dishes coming out of her and having a looping body, with these satellite dishes being used for sending advertisements to the residents of the former generator.
Plot[]
Prior to the events of the game, the Beauty Generator was a gigantic power plant that powered most of the whole planet with the use of her Beauty Juice which is said to react like gasoline. However, as time passed by, the Beauty Generator's Beauty Juice dried up, causing her to lose her power and beauty and eventually shuts down to a sleeping state which decreased power and energy around the planet and being completely forgotten and hidden. Looking for a new source of energy, windmills were built by World of Goo Corporation to be a source of clean cheap energy to power the entire planet. This proves to be ineffective as wind was not powerful enough to power the entire planet and that a new source of energy had to be found.
The Beauty Generator was discovered again and that it relies on Beauty Goo for it to be functional again. Fortunately, thanks to the player's actions, one Beauty Goo was broken into Beauty Product and are injected into a pipe from her forehead. This makes the Beauty Generator operational again and began to power the whole planet again. With this tremendous source of energy, World of Goo Corporation manages to open a factory down south, leading to the events of Chapter 3.
In World of Goo 2. 15 years after the events of the first game, The Beauty Generator is in complete disarray with satellite dishes all over it. Her body has been heavily modified, with a winding structure design with windows, windmills, and power lines scattered throughout. On various parts, there are satellite dishes too, which play a major role at the end of the chapter. The generator’s head is heavily modified too, with her eyes now gone in favor of a hollow inside for the satellites to be. These satellites were for sending advertisements to the people of the island, and were perpetruated by World of Goo Organization’s immense greed and fortune. After this, they open up a train line in the south, leading into chapter 3.

- The Beauty Generator's face has lips in the level, but these are not present on the map screen.
- The Beauty Generator has three dots under her right eye, but are not present in the map screen.
- The Beauty Generator's hair is thicker, curvier and shorter, while the the map screen has a thin and longer hair.
- The Beauty Generator's eyelashes are long and extend to the right in the level, but on the map screen they are shorter and extend away from the face.
- The Beauty Generator's face has a dot beside her mouth in the level, but it is also not present on the map screen.
- Despite being activated again at the end of Chapter 2, the Beauty Generator is seen in her sleeping state again.
